All New Pets from the Adopt Me Aztec Egg Event

The Aztec Egg replaced the Moon Egg in the Nursery on August 15, 2025, bringing eight fresh pets themed around ancient Mesoamerican creatures and myths. You buy it from the Gumball Machine for 750 Bucks, and, like most Gumball eggs, it has standard egg odds (35% Common, 25% Uncommon, 24% Rare, 12% Ultra-Rare, 4% Legendary).

Before it landed, Adopt Me ran a one-week Aztec Temple Trek mini-event (Aug 8–22) that let players earn Golden Crystal Skulls in an obby and spend them on the Royal Aztec Egg, a limited egg with boosted legendary odds (6%). The Royal Aztec Egg has since left the game and is trade-only.

Legendary highlights

• Quetzalcoatl , the feathered serpent icon; a low-odds pull from the Aztec Egg and the main chase for Neon/Mega flex.
  
• Temple Friend , a legendary companion with similar hatch odds; also available from Royal Aztec Eggs while the event was live.

Ultra-Rare duo

• Ehecatl and Onza sit in the 12% tier collectively for Ultra-Rares on the standard egg. These are the best value targets for early Neon plans (cheaper to repeat-hatch than Legendaries).

Egg odds, cost, and the Royal vs. standard decision

• Aztec Egg (Nursery): 750 Bucks; normal Gumball odds with 4% Legendary total. Great for bulk hatching if you’re funding with daily tasks and roleplay loops.
  
• Royal Aztec Egg (event only): bought with event skulls during Temple Trek; now trade-only. It carried 6% Legendary odds, so it was the better raw-odds purchase while available. If you see “Royal” in a trade now, price for scarcity.

Practical read: if you’re hatching today, the Aztec Egg is the only one you can still buy. Treat Royal Aztec Eggs as collectibles or trade leverage.

Hatching strategy that actually saves Bucks

1) Budget in batches, not singles. Decide your batch size (10–20 eggs per session). Singles feel cheap but drain Bucks with no plan. Batching also helps you track duplicates and decide quickly whether to sell, trade, or keep.

2) Target Ultra-Rares first, Legendaries second. The Ehecatl/Onza tier is where Neon/Mega progress feels doable on a non-Robux wallet. Trade your Ultra-Rare dupes toward Quetzalcoatl or Temple Friend instead of tunnelling for 4× legendary hatches.

3) Use event timing. Egg hype spikes values during the first two weeks, then cools. Flip early dupes to fund more hatches; buy back later if prices soften. This cycle is consistent every Gumball refresh.

4) Trade windows > off-peak. Hop to active servers, especially right after content drops or creator streams. More eyeballs mean faster, fairer trades.

5) Keep your Trade License and stay in-window. No off-platform swaps, no “trust trade”, no “I’ll give you the rest later”. Obvious, but it saves inventories.

Neon and Mega planning for the Aztec set

A Neon needs four Full Grown of the same pet. A Mega needs sixteen. The time sink isn’t linear; it gets uglier in the last two stages. That’s why you prioritise smarter, not harder.

Recommended route (Neon, Ultra-Rares):

1. Hatch your four Ehecatl or Onza.
2. Grind to Teen using paid tasks during double-bucks windows (milk the income).
3. Consider late-stage shortcuts (Age Up Potions) for Teen → Post-Teen and Post-Teen → Full Grown if you have them.
4. Assemble the Neon, then repeat for the colour you want for Mega.

Legendary Neon reality check: Unless you already own two or three legendary copies, trade up using Ultra-Rare value instead of burning 100k+ Bucks trying to raw-hatch four legendaries at 4% total. The Royal Aztec Egg had better legendary odds when live, but those are now trade-only, so factor in collector tax.

• Common (Tegu): Good for pet-age tasks and bucks farming; sell or bundle in 2-for-1 trades to nudge up to Rares.

How the Temple Trek week really mattered

Through an obby/puzzle course, Temple Trek allowed players to gather three Golden Crystal Skulls every day. Those skulls bought the Royal Aztec Egg and event items. Since the event ended, Royal Aztec Eggs are scarcer every week, which usually nudges their trade value above standard eggs with the same pet pool. If someone offers a “Royal” egg in a deal today, remember it had 6% legendary odds vs 4% on the normal egg, many traders will pay a small premium for that history.

Price hygiene and scam-proofing

• Verify item names on the confirm screen: Aztec Egg vs Royal Aztec Egg isn’t just cosmetic; it’s a value difference.
• Screenshots save inventories. Keep proof of high-value trades.
• No cross-game/Robux IOUs. If the value can’t fit in one trade window, it isn’t a safe trade.
• Check multiple boards. Third-party value sites vary; combine live server prices with at least two sources and recent YouTube hatch logs to feel the market.
